Project Description
Browne McGregor Architects provided architectural services to CHI St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital for the new Performance Medicine Center on The Woodlands hospital campus. Meeting the client’s goal to create a gymnasium like environment for their 7,700 square foot facility on the third floor of the new CHI St. Luke’s Medical Arts Center III presented some unusual challenges. The building structure was left exposed to provide the necessary height and character. An ancillary “spine” of support areas was planned parallel to the performance studios, and the main entrance to the Center was oriented to bisect the “spine” and to look through the rehabilitation and performance areas to the forest preserve outside the building.
